North West Durham Battalion - The Companies

The North West Durham Battalion was founded in 1925 when RW Birtle and MW Atkinson formed Boys' Brigade companies in Annfield Plain and Consett. We are a part of the North of England District. The Battalion covers a small area of County Durham, including Consett, Stanley and Lanchester. During the eighty plus years since the Battalion was founded many companies were formed and sadly many companies closed. The Battalion currently has six companies registered and active.
